Theft of canoe on River Stour

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft of an inflatable canoe from the River Stour.

It took place on Sunday 2 August at some point between 12midday and 12.45pm.

Two males moored it between Stratford St Mary and Higham. The pair left their rucksacks in the boat and went ashore for a brief time.

When they have returned the rucksacks have been taken out of the boat, and the canoe has gonAnyone who saw any suspicious activity on the river between the times stated or knows of the whereabouts of the canoe should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime reference 37/44369/20.
