Sutton – Serious collision

A man has sustained serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision in Sutton.

Officers were called at just after 12.40am this morning, Monday 11 September, to reports that a silver Volkswagen Polo had collided with a tree on the B1083 Woodbridge Road.

Ambulance and fire crews were also in attendance and the single occupant of the vehicle – a man aged in his late teens - was taken to hospital having sustained potentially life-changing injuries.

The road remained closed for several hours, reopening shortly after 9am.  

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also asking any motorists driving in the area at the time with a dashcam in their vehicle to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
