Title

Snape/Tunstall – Cyclist injured in fail to stop collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop following a collision with a cyclist between Snape and Tunstall last month.

The incident took place at approximately 4.15pm on Wednesday 23 August on the B1069.

The cyclist was riding in a southerly direction along the road towards Tunstall, when he was involved in a collision with a red Nissan Juke travelling in the same direction. The driver of the Nissan Juke failed to stop.

The cyclist sustained bruising and grazes, in addition to the bike being damaged.

The nearside wingmirror of the Nissan was knocked off during the incident and left at the roadside. The car would have sustained other damage to the nearside front of the vehicle.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also appealing for any motorists driving in the area at the time with a dashcam in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.

They would also like to hear from anyone who believes they may have recently seen a red Nissan Juke with a missing wingmirror or other nearside damage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Halesworth Neighbourhood Response Team, quoting reference: CAD 283 of 23 August.
