Man convicted for Haverhill vehicle crime

After a spate of theft from vehicle related offences in Haverhill, police have arrested a male who has now been convicted of vehicle interference offences. 
37 year old Wayne Read of Fritton Court in Haverhill appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday (11 January).
It follows an incident on Saturday evening (9 January) where there were reports of three incidents of vehicles being tampered with. The vehicles were a BMW, a VW Golf and a white Ford estate.
Read was arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police investigation Centre for questioning. He was subsequently charged with three counts of interfering with a motor vehicle on 9 January 2021. 
He appeared before Ipswich magistrates court on Monday 11 January where he pleaded guilty
He was sentenced to a 12 month community order, up to 15 days RAR (Rehabilitation) and ordered to pay a fine of £95.00
Another male was also arrested in connection with the thefts, he has been released pending further investigation.
