Man charged with offences in Sudbury

Police have charged a man in connection with offences in Sudbury.  
The arrest was in connection with a burglary that took place at a property on Cornard Road in Sudbury on 2 September where a mobile phone was stolen. In another incident at the same property on 7 August a bank card and bottle of gin were stolen. A man aged in his 40s was also assaulted on 1 August at the same property– the victim sustained bruising to an eye.
Officers arrested a man in the evening on Friday 4 September on suspicion of burglary, theft and assault and he was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
36 year old Daniel Leat of Maldon Court in Sudbury was charged with burglary, theft and assault and remanded to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday 7 September).
He was further remanded and will appear before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday 5 October
