Man charged after Ipswich burglary

Police have charged a man in connection with a burglary that took place in Ipswich.
 
It follows an incident earlier today (Tues 22 Feb) where an alarm was sounded in a building on Fore Street in the town .
 
Officers were called and found a male in the building attempting to break into an office. The male ran further into the building and upstairs into the roof top area. Officers swiftly arrested him and he was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
 
50 year old David Potter of Fore Street in Ipswich was charged with entering as a trespasser with intent to steal. He was remanded to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrorw (Wed 24 Feb) at 10am
