Man arrested in connection with Bury burglary

Police have arrested  a man in connection with a burglary in Bury St Edmunds.
 
It follows an incident that took place at Cotswold Outdoor on Abbeygate Street in the town overnight.
 
Officers were called just after midnight (Tues 4 August) to a report of burglary at the premises after a member of the public saw a man leaving the premises through a smashed window carrying some clothing.
 
Officers attended and arrested the male on suspicion of burglary and possession of a knife or bladed article and he was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he remains.
 
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour or has knowledge of the incident should contact Bury St Edmunds police quoting crime reference 37/44439/20.
