Male arrested in connection with Bungay arsons

Police investigating a series of arson attacks in the Bungay area have arrested a man. 
 
Officers made the arrest yesterday (Thursday 18 February) with a 22 year old man arrested on suspicion of criminal damage - arson not endangering life and he was taken to Great Yarmouth Police investigation Centre for questioning. He was subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries. 
 
It follows a series of incidents in the Bungay area. One was reported on 2 February where bins were set alight in the Hillside Road West area, (crime number: 37/278/21) Queen’s Road area on 7 February  where further bins were set alight (37/72059/20) and three incidents, also in the Queen’s Road area, on 6 December last year where three bins were also set alight. 37/70774/20 37/70762/20 37/70726/20
 
Police are still keen to speak to anyone who may have information.  They should contact Lowestoft police, quoting the relevant crime number.
