Lowestoft - Man jailed for drug offences


A man has been jailed for drug offences in Lowestoft.

Officers from the Kestrel team made an arrest on Friday 17 September after police had reason to stop a vehicle on Denmark Road.

Officers made a search and found a male to be in possession of around 2kg of  cannabis with an estimated street value of £15,000.

The male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and money laundering taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Rushit Protoduari, aged 27 and of Adlington Road in Crewe was charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs and also a charge of money laundering.

He was remanded and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday 20 Sept) where he was given a 26 weeks sentence after a guilty plea.
