Lowestoft - Appeal after man is seriously assaulted

Police are appealing witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in a Lowestoft park.

The incident took place on Saturday 5 September at Bleach Park, Oulton Road at around 2:30pm.

After an altercation involving a number of children, an older youth punched one the children’s dad in the face. The suspect then walked off in the direction of Water Lane.

The victim, a man in his 50s, sustained a broken jaw and was taken to hospital. The injuries require surgical treatment.

The suspect is described as around 18 years of age, tall, with brown, curly hair short shaved at the back and sides and was wearing a grey coloured tracksuit.
