Ipswich –Woman cyclist is serious injured after Rushmere Road RTC

Police remain at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Ipswich.

Officers were called at 05:40am this morning, Monday 14 June, to reports of a road traffic collision on Rushmere Road at the roundabout junction with Colchester Road involving a cyclist and a Hyundai 110 car.

The cyclist, a woman in her 40s, sustained serious injuries and has been taken to Ipswich hospital by ambulance.

Police remain at the scene and the road is closed at this time.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, along with anyone driving in the area just prior to the incident who has a dashcam in their vehicle.
