Person in handcuffs

Police have arrested two teenagers in connection with drug offences in Ipswich.
A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was executed at an address yesterday afternoon  (Thu 13 May) on Riverside Road in the town.
Two males were located in the premises and police recovered a blue bag containing a number of white wraps, a significant amount of cash, suspected quantities of cannabis, a knife and air rifle and various other paraphernalia such as mobile phones and digital scales.
A hydroponic set including lamps and ducting were also recovered and other associated equipment.
Two male teenagers, aged 15 and 17 were both arrested. The 15 year old on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs, while the 17 year old was arrested on two counts of possession with intent to supply drugs. Both were taken to Martlesham Heath Police investigation Centre for questioning and they were subsequently later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
The force wants to ensure the county remains a hostile environment for those involved in the supply of drugs and provide reassurance to Suffolk residents. Our local communities have an important role to play in this too. Don’t turn a blind eye. Talk to us about your concerns and we will work together to resolve the issue.
