Ipswich – Two men released under investigation following parcel thefts

Two men arrested in connection with parcel thefts in Ipswich, have been released under investigation.

Police were alerted to a suspected fly tipping incident after a number of open parcel boxes were found discarded behind Bridge Wood car park in Orwell Country Park on Tuesday 17 November.

Further enquiries were carried out and two men, both aged 18, were arrested on Wednesday 18 November, on suspicion of theft of mail.

Both men were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and have subsequently been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Further enquiries were carried out and two men, both aged 18, were arrested yesterday, Wednesday 18 November, on suspicion of theft of mail.

Both men remain in custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
