Ipswich - Teens arrested in connection with drug offences

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with drug offences in Ipswich.

Officers received a report from a member of the public reporting suspicious activity in the Nansen Road area of the town yesterday (Tues 24 May).

Police conducted a search on a  17 year old male and he was found in possession of approximately 50 wraps of suspected class A drugs and a quantity of cash. He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supple class A drugs. A 16 year old was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. They were both taken to Martlesham Police investigation Centre for questioning.

The 17 year old was charged with two offences - possession with intent to supply class A drugs – heroin and possession with intent to supply class A – cocaine.

He was remanded to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today (Wed 25 May).

A search at the home of the 16 year old identified approximately nine wraps of suspected drug s- he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
