Ipswich – Appeal after dog incident

Police are appealing for witnesses or information after a girl was bitten by a dog in Ipswich.
The incident took place yesterday Tuesday 24 November at approximately 4pm on a piece of common land on Dales Road in the town.

An 11-year-old girl was bitten on the leg by a brown whippet type dog, that was off its lead.

The girl’s trousers were ripped and the skin was pierced as a result. The dog owner offered to pay for the damage but left without leaving his details.

Police would like to speak to the man who is described as white, in his 60s and well-spoken. He was wearing a flat cap and was accompanied by a younger man with a similar type of dog.
