Police are appealing for help to identify a male they want to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Ipswich.
It took place on Tacket Street on Sunday 29 January at just before 10pm.
A female victim, aged in her 20s, was in her vehicle when a male got into the rear of the vehicle and attempted to pull her into the rear of the vehicle by grabbing her around the neck. The victim then left the vehicle while the suspect attempted to get into the vehicle attempting to take it. The victim then punched and kicked the suspect prompting him to walk away.
DI Tom Pearse said: “The experience was incredibly traumatic for the victim who has shown considerable bravery in coming forward. Police are treating the matter with the upmost seriousness and would encourage anyone who knows the male to come forward. Police have received no other further reports of similar incidents.”
Anyone who recognises the male depicted or knows who he is should contact Ipswich police, quoting crime number 37/5754/23.
