Bury St Edmunds – Theft of sentimental photos

Police are appealing for witnesses in Bury St Edmunds to a theft of photos of a sentimental value.

It took place on Tuesday 21 July  at some point between 2.45pm and 3.45pm inside Waitrose supermarket on Robert Boby Way.

The victim, who is aged in her 90s, had a purse in a pocket of her handbag stolen. It was on shopping trolley in the supermarket with bank cards used to make fraudulent purchases, including two of around £40.

The purse also contained photographs of her now deceased husband that hold great sentimental value to her.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the purse or the photos should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime number 37/41831/20.
