Appeal after assaults in Woodbridge and Martlesham

Police are appealing for witnesses or information after two assaults that involved the same individuals in Woodbridge and Martlesham Heath.

The first incident took place at the junction of Fitzwilliam Close and Queens Avenue, Woodbridge at around 8.30pm on Tuesday 10 May. A second linked assault took place on the verge of the A12 southbound near the Adastral roundabout Park in Martlesham Heath just before 9.30pm the same evening.

The first incident saw the victim - driving a delivery van - assaulted by the driver of a white van, following a road related matter.

The same suspect, then driving a black Audi, forced the victim’s vehicle to stop on the edge of the A12 before assaulting the victim a second time leaving him requiring stitches for a cut above his left eye.

The suspect is described as being white, aged in his 30s, about 6ft tall, of muscular build, dark haired, with tattoos on his arms.
