A140 reopens following collision at Brockford Street

The A140 near Wetheringsett has now reopened following a road traffic collision.

Police were called at 9.25am this morning, Wednesday 21 September, to reports of a three-vehicle collision at Brockford Street.

Paramedics and an air ambulance were also in attendance at the incident, which involved a black Toyota Prius, a silver Ford Transit van and a black Mitsubishi L200 Warrior.

Two drivers sustained injuries - which were assessed to not be life-threatening or life-changing - and they were taken by land ambulance to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

The A140 was closed in both directions, but fully reopened at around 2pm.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking anyone driving in the area with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage for any footage that may be of assistance.

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on the A140 near Wetheringsett.

Police were called at 9.25am this morning, Wednesday 21 September, to reports of a three-vehicle collision at Brockford Street.

Ambulance crews are also in attendance and the A140 is currently completely blocked. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Suffolk Police, quoting reference: CAD 70 of 21 September.
