Sudbury incident - man charged

Taking notesPolice have charged a man in connection with an incident in Sudbury on Wednesday when a suspect package was discovered. Officers were called shortly after 1.10pm on Wednesday 31 January after a suspect package was found in a rucksack at Barclays Bank on Market Hill. 41 year old Mark Brett of Tudor Road in Sudbury is charged with placing an article with intent, communication of false information and possession of class A drugs. He will be appearing before Ipswich magistrates court this morning at 10am (Saturday 3 February.)

Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident in Sudbury on Wednesday when a suspect package was discovered. Officers were called shortly after 1.10pm on Wednesday 31 January after a suspect package was found in a rucksack at Barclays Bank on Market Hill. A 41 year old man from Sudbury has been arrested this morning (2 February) on suspicion of placing an article with intent and communication of false information. He has been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned during today.
