Ipswich arrest in connection with drug offence

Police have arrested a man in connection with a drug offence in Ipswich.

It follows an incident on Monday 28 October at about 6.30pm near to All Saint’s Church on Waterloo Road.

Officers recovered a number of wraps of class A drugs contained in a cigarette box from a back garden.

An 18 year old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and assault and taken to Marltesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The arrest relating to the assault was in connection with an incident that took place in Lower Brook Street in Ipswich on 4 August when a male in his 30s was stabbed in the leg.

The 18 year old was subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries.
