Yoxford – Boy injured in collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Yoxford.

The collision occurred at around 4pm on Tuesday 23 April on the A1120 in High Street.

A 14-year-old boy was riding a scooter along the pavement and as a car approached, he waited on the flagstones for it to pass. However a lorry then drove past a number of parked cars, which restricted the width of the road for the car. The driver of the car then mounted the flagstones in order to avoid the lorry and in doing so, the boy was knocked from his scooter.

As a result of the collision, the boy was left shaken and sustained slight bruising and grazes.

The driver of the car involved failed to stop or report the collision and officers are appealing for this person to come forward.

The car is described as being a silver Volkswagen Polo.

Any witnesses to this collision or anyone with information should contact PSI Chris Sadler on [email protected] or Halesworth Police Station on 101, quoting CAD 301 of 23 April.
