Bury St Edmunds assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault that took place in Bury St Edmunds.
 
It happened outside the bus station on St Andrews Street North on Saturday 23 November at about 8.30pm.
 
A male victim, aged 23 year old was punched to the cheek by unknown offender outside the bus station.
 
Just prior to the incident a verbal altercation between the victim and a group of males had taken place.  One of the males took hold of the victim’s shirt and as the victim went to walk away another male dressed all in dark clothing punched him in the face. The group have then run away over to the Wilco car park. The victim sustained a fractured jaw as a consequence. 
 
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw any suspicious behaviour or has knowledge of the incident should contact Bury St Edmunds police, quoting crime reference 37/71353/19
