Lowestoft – Man charged with drug offence

Police have charged a 23-year-old man from the Lowestoft area with a drug offence.

While on duty, on Wednesday 26 June, officers had cause to search a male in Beresford Road, under Section 32 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and an amount of Class A drugs and cash were recovered.

Connor Durrant, of no fixed address, was arrested and was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Durrant was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply – Class A and was remanded into custody.

Durrant appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Thursday 27 June. He was remanded and is next due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
