Assault and criminal damage – Lowestoft

Police are appealing for information following an incident of criminal damage and assault in Lowestoft.  
 
Police received a call on Sunday 23 February at about 12.10am after a report that a blue C4 Citroen had its rear window smashed. 
 
 At the same time the driver of a black VW Polo, an 18 year old man, stopped his vehicle due to the driver, seeing another male, aged 18 being assaulted by another male.  The victim sustained minor injuries.

When the driver of the Polo went to intervene he was also assaulted as was his 16 year old girlfriend. The male sustained bruising to his face and neck, while the woman had her hair pulled with no injuries caused.
 
The same offender caused damage to the VW Polo driver’s side window by punching the window and causing it to smash. 
  
The suspect is described as white, of stocky build, around 25 years old, with tattoos on neck and was wearing a dark blue tracksuit with a dark coloured ‘beanie’ style hat.
