Two arrests after attempted robbery in Ipswich

Police have arrested two men in connection with an attempted robbery in Ipswich.

It took place earlier this morning just after midnight  (Tues 28 January) on Fore Street.

The victim, a 21 year old male, reported that two males had approached him and demanded money and a watch from him. The victim refused and as he went to walk away one of the males then hit victim in the face which caused his glasses to break. The two offenders then left the scene walking in the direction of the college.

A short while later a 16 year old teenage male and a 13 year old teenage male were both arrested by police on suspicion of attempted robbery and taken to Marltesham Police Investigation Centre where they remain.
