Beccles – Appeal following serious road traffic collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Beccles.

Officers were called shortly after 5.10pm on Friday 10 January following reports of a collision in Grove Road involving a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a man aged his 70s, collided with a vehicle, a grey Volvo V50, as he crossed the road.

An ambulance attended and the man was taken to James Paget Hospital after he sustained serious internal injuries, a hip fracture and a broken rib. He has since been discharged from hospital.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have captured any dash-cam footage of the incident is asked to contact Suffolk police, quoting CAD reference 275 of 10 January.
