Incident of card theft in Ipswich

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident of distraction theft in Ipswich.
 
It happened at Tesco’s on Anson Road at Martlesham Heath on Wednesday 13 November at some point between 3.35pm and 4pm.
 
The victim, aged in her 80s, reported that between the stated times an unknown suspect has stolen her cards from her purse in her car while she was distracted by a male suspect asking for directions. He used a map on his phone to help explain the directions to distract her.
 
The male who distracted the victim during the theft is described as a white male, of average build, aged 40 to 60 years old, about five foot, nine inches tall and clean shaven. There is no description of the suspect who stolen the cards.
 
The victim only realised the cards had been taken when she checked her online account realising money had been taken from it.
