Appeal to trace Newmarket assault victim

Police officer

Police are appealing for help to trace a victim of  an racially aggravated assault that took place in Newmarket.

Officers received a report that on Friday 9 August at some point between 11pm and 11.15pm on Rowley Drive a male victim was subjected to an assault and verbal abuse. The victim states he saw the victim covered in blood when the offenders left the scene.

The suspects are described as three males and one female. Male one was wearing a red top, wore thick glasses and had dark short hair.

Male two had blonde curly hair and hair tracksuit, while male three had dark curly hair and a black mountain bike. The female had dark long hair and white crop-top jeans.

Although a few weeks have passed since the incident itself, officers are keen to speak to the victim to ensure evidence is gathered to try and progress and investigation. Racially aggravated assaults are taken very seriously and are completely unacceptable in today’s society.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting crime reference 37/57641/19.
