Two charged with Lowestoft burglaries

Police have charged two people in connection with an attempted burglary and burglary in Lowestoft..

The first reported incident took place at a property on Summerfield Gardens on Thursday 20 June at some point between 12.45pm and 1.45pm where an attempt to break in to the property via the conservatory and windows took place. A second incident was reported to police the same day on the same road a short while earlier where the rear gate and front door were tried.

The following day police made two arrests – a woman in her 30s and a man in his 30s -  and they were both taken to Great Yarmouth police investigation centre for questioning.

38 year old Jamie Appleby of Burnham Way in Lowestoft was charged the following day with one count of burglary, one count of attempted burglary and one count of failing to provide a drug test.

32 year old Kelly Buckley of Burnham Way in the town was charged with one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.

Both were remanded in police custody for an appearance at Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 24 June.
