Brandon man sentenced for vehicle offences

A Brandon man has been charged and convicted for a number of vehicle offences.

46 year old Steven Carnegie of Beavor Lane in the town was charged on 21 January at Ipswich Magistrates Court with vehicle numerous offences in the town. He was arrested by an off duty police officer in June last year and taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre for questioning..

The offences include five counts of interference with a motor vehicle, three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, as well as one count of possession of a knife or sharp pointed article and one count of possession of class A drugs.

He was sentenced on 18 February at Ipswich Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to the offences. He has to wear an electronic tag fitted for three months under curfew (starting at 9pm and ending at 7am) and was fined £90. He must also comply with a rehabilitation activity for 30 days.
