Red Lodge - Appeal to trace driver after chainsaw falls from vehicle

Police are appealing for help to trace the driver of a vehicle which lost its load on the A11 at Red Lodge.

Police were called at approximately 11:10am yesterday, Wednesday 22 May, following reports a chainsaw had fallen off the back of a vehicle, suspected to be a pick-up truck, on the southbound A11 Newmarket Road between the A1101 and B1085.

The chainsaw is reported to have struck a black Toyota Yaris travelling behind, which caught fire as a result of the impact. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The chainsaw was recovered from the scene, and police are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward. Anyone with information who can help with enquiries are urged to contact the Forest Heath Neighbourhood Response Team at Mildenhall Police Station on 101 quoting CAD 128 of 22 May.
