Witness appeal to Pakenham RTC

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that took place in Pakenham on the A143.

It happened at 12.30pm today (Monday 22 July) when a white Ford transit van travelling northbound on the A143 collided with a grey VW Tiguan.

The two women in the VW Tiguan sustained internal injuries and were airlifted to Addenbrooke’s hospital for treatment where they remain. The road was closed and remains shut while officers conduct initial investigations. The male driver of the van was unhurt.

Any witnesses to the collision, or anyone travelling in the area who may have dash-cam footage of the vehicles, is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Serious Collison Investigation Team
