Burglary - Polstead

Police officer

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at Polstead.

It happened on Wednesday 20 November at some point between 9.45am and 12midday at a property on Polstead Hill.

The unknown offender(s) gained access to the property by smashing the rear kitchen door glass with a heavy garden object. Once inside a tidy search has been made of most rooms. At this stage, it is currently unclear if anything has been stolen.

Officers are keen to speak to two males who were seen in the area after the victim returned home. The first is described as a white male, about 40 years old, six foot tall and of stocky build and was wearing a white cap and a white zip up sports top.

The second male is described as 40 years old, slimmer than the first male and shorter. He wore dark clothing and a black coloured zip up puffa-jacket. They were both heading towards a light coloured hatchback vehicle.

Anyone who has knowledge of the event, saw any suspicious activity should contact Ipswich CID, quoting crime reference 37/70247/19
