Lowestoft attempted burglary charge


A 40 year old man has been charged after an attempted burglary in Lowestoft.

It follows an incident on Tuesday 18 June where an attempted break-in at a property on The Meads took place, although no entry was made and nothing taken.

Following enquiries  a man was arrested the following day and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

40 year old Tony Kirk of the High Street in Lowestoft was charged on 20 June with attempted burglary, vehicle interference and a separate charge of common assault.

He was remanded and is appearing before Norwich Magistrates today (Friday 21 June).
