Attempted robbery in Haverhill

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Haverhill.

It took place on Thursday 19 September at just after 8pm on Camps Road. A male jumped out of the bushes on the edge of the recreation ground and pointed a knife at the victim while demanding money.

The victim, aged 25, refused and ran off. He was unhurt.

The suspect is described as about five foot 10 inches tall, in his late 30s, with a short beard and was wearing a dark hooded top and also was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms.

Enquiries are on-going and anyone who has knowledge of the incident or saw any suspicious activity should call police quoting crime reference 37/56758/19.
