Lowestoft - teenager charged after burglaries

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with three burglaries and a theft from a motor vehicle in Lowestoft.

Police investigating a number of burglaries in the Beccles Road area of the town have arrested and charged a teenage boy in connection with the following incidents;
 
•At some point on 15 August a property was entered on Beccles Road with the intention to steal.

 
•Sometime between 15 August and 16 August a property on Sycamore Avenue was entered and electronics, mobile phones, cash and handbag were stolen.

 
•On 16 August electronics, mobile phones, cash and handbag were stolen from a property on Hollow Grove Way.


•On 15 August two torches, an Apple Mac charger and a Leatherman tool were stolen from a vehicle on Beccles Road.

 
The teenager was arrested on 16 August and subsequently charged with three counts of burglary, an attempted burglary, a theft from a motor vehicle and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis)

He appeared before Norwich Magistrates Court yesterday 19 August and was bailed to appear before Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on 29th August.
 
A 21-year-old man was also arrested on 18 August by police in connection with the  burglaries and theft. He has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
