Needham Market stabbing - male charged

Police investigating a stabbing in Needham Market on Saturday 19 October have charged a teenager.

Officers were called at 6.10am to reports of a woman, aged in her 30s, having been stabbed in Quinton Road. 

A male, aged 16 years old, was arrested yesterday (Sunday 20 October) in the London area on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was charged this evening (Monday 21 October) with attempted murder and possession of bladed article. He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorroww morning (Tuesday 22 October).

A man, aged in his 50s, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Saturday evening was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He was released on police bail last night (Sunday 20 October) until 14 November pending further enquiries. 

The victim has been transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital from West Suffolk Hospital and remains in a stable condition following an operation.

Police investigating a stabbing in Needham Market on Saturday 19 October have arrested a second person in connection with the incident.

Officers were called at 6.10am to reports of a woman, aged in her 30s, being stabbed in Quinton Road.

A male, aged 16 year old, was arrested yesterday in the London area (Sunday 20 October) on suspicion of attempted murder.

A man, aged in his 50s, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Saturday evening was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He was released on police bail last night (Sunday 20 October) until 14 November pending further enquiries.

The victim has been transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital from West Suffolk Hospital and remains in a stable condition following an operation.

Police investigating a stabbing in Needham Market yesterday (Saturday 19 October) have made an arrest.

Officers were called at 6.10am to reports of a woman, aged in her 30s, being stabbed in Quinton Road.

Yesterday evening a male, aged in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning where he currently remains.

The victim has been transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital from West Suffolk Hospital and remains in a stable condition following an operation.
 
Detectives believe that this was a targeted attack with the victim and offender known to each other.

Police are at the scene of  an incident in Needham Market that took place earlier this morning. (Saturday 19 October).  

Officers were called at 6.10am to reports of a woman, aged in her 30s, being stabbed in Quinton Road.

The victim is in a stable condition and has been taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries. 

No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries into the incident are continuing.
