Oulton assault - witness appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault which occurred in Oulton.

It happened at about 7.40pm in Dunston Drive on Tuesday 15 October.

A person approached a 12 year old boy and punched him causing a serious facial injury which required hospital treatment at the James Paget Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

Police believe the offender, dressed in dark clothing, ran along Dunston Drive, away from Gorleston Road after the incident and may have ran into the area of Sands Lane / Chestnut Avenue.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw any suspicous behaviour or who has dashcam footage should contact Lowestoft CID quoting crime reference 37/63211/19.
