Four charged with Lowestoft burglary

Four people have been charged following an incident that took place in Lowestoft.
 
On Friday 15 May at just before 5am a group of people attended a property on Trafalgar Street in the town, gaining entry via a communal door. 
 
The offenders then punched the flat door, waking the occupier who then answered the door. The group have then entered the flat, punching the victim, a man in his 40s, to the face and taking approximately £440 in cash notes and some tobacco.
 
Police enquiries were made and three males and woman were all arrested and were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
 
21 year old Lavell Farman of Bonds Avenue in Lowestoft,  35 year old Joanne Searle of Zanetta Court in Lowestoft, 47 year old Dean Meadows of Beccles Road in Lowestoft and 31 year old Nicky Bates of no fixed abode were all subsequently charged with burglary.
 
They were remanded to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court today (Monday 18 May).
