Sudbury – Attempted robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery at a filling station in Sudbury.

The incident occurred at around 6.20pm on Monday 15 April at the BP Garage on Northern Road.

A man entered the shop, approached the till and made a demand for money. When the member of staff said refused this, he then made reference to a weapon though one was not seen.

The member of staff pressed the panic alarm and the suspect then walked out of the shop, across the forecourt and in the direction of Waldingfield Road.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his 20s, of medium build and unshaven. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.
