Haverhill - Serious assault update

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses following an assault in Haverhill.

Officers were called to Balmoral Drive just after 4pm yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 16 July, following reports of a man being injured in the shoulder.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment and was discharged later last night.

Detectives believe this to have been a targeted attack and are following a number of lines of enquiry. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of Princess Way, Balmoral Drive, or Dunster Drive around 4pm yesterday.

Anyone witnesses, or anyone with information about this incident, is asked to contact West CID at Bury St Edmunds Police Station quoting reference 41666/19.
