Lowestoft – Sexual assault and exposure

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was the victim of a sexual assault and exposure in Lowestoft.

The incident occurred between 11.30pm and 11.40pm last night, Sunday 16 June, between Foxborough Road and Weston Road.

The victim – aged 17 – parted company with some friends at Aldi in Millennium Way, cutting through into Coniston Walk, when she became aware of a man on mountain bike cycling towards her. As she continued onto Foxborough Road he made suggestive comments towards her and shortly after exposed himself and committed an offensive act.

As the victim attempted to get away from the suspect, walking into Crestview Drive and towards Weston Road, he continued to follow her and then grabbed her backside. She finally managed to get away from him by seeking help from a friend’s house nearby.

The suspect is described as aged in his early 20s, approximately 5ft 8in tall, of skinny build and with a stubbly beard. He was wearing dark-coloured clothing and riding a dark-coloured mountain bike.
