Ipswich drug warrant leads to two arrests

Police have arrested two people in Ipswich on suspicion of drug offences.

It follows a warrant conducted on a property in Yarmouth Road in the town yesterday morning (Tuesday 15 October).

A large quantity of suspected class B amphetamine, suspected class B cannabis and cash were recovered. Two items believed to be 'stun-gun' devices were also recovered. The value of the cash is estimated to be in the region of £5,000 to £10,000.

Two people, a 29 year old woman and a 28 year old man, were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. The male was also arrested on suspicion of possession of firearm offences.

They were taken to Marltesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. The woman was released under investigation, pending further enquiries. The male was released on police bail, pending enquiries to answer on 12 November.
