Telephone scam warning

Police are urging residents to be wary of a telephone scam that took place in Aldeburgh.

The victim, a male in his 70s, was contacted by automated phone call stating that their broadband and landline will be cut off due to technical issues with the victim’s computer and internet. The message additionally states that there are technical issues with victim’s computer so requiring remote access. The victim hung up deciding that he felt it was not legitimate and so he did not lost any money.
