Hollesley Bay – Absconder detained

A 37-year-old prisoner who absconded from Hollesley Bay has been arrested.

Antonio Wells had been missing since this morning, Friday 16 August, but he was detained just after 8pm today by officers in Ipswich.

He has been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, from where he will be returned to the prison system.

Suffolk police would like to thank members of the public and media for their assistance with this appeal.

Police are appealing for help to trace a prisoner who has absconded from Hollesley Bay.

Antonio Wells, aged 37, was reported as missing after failing to attend a roll call this morning, Friday 16 August.

He is serving a four year and seven month sentence for robbery, burglary, aggravated vehicle taking and theft.

Wells is described as mixed race, approximately 6ft tall and of a medium build. He is balding, has brown eyes, a dark beard and tattoos on his neck, both arms and torso.

He is known to have links in Ipswich.

Anyone who believes that have seen Antonio Wells, or who has any information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
