Lowestoft – Sudden death of man update

Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body in Lowestoft can confirm that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service shortly after 2.35pm on Sunday 16 June, following reports that a man in his 40s had been found inside a property in Normanston Drive.
 
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene and an investigation was launched.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out and following the results of a Home Office post-mortem, held yesterday, Monday 17 June, police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

Next of kin are aware and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service shortly after 2.35pm today, Sunday 16 June, following reports that a man in his 40s had been found deceased inside a property in Normanston Drive.
 
A police cordon remains in place whilst an investigation into the circumstances of the death continues.
 
Anyone with any information is asked to call Suffolk police on 101 quoting CAD reference 227 of today, 16 June.

Police are currently at the scene of a sudden death in Lowestoft.

Officers were called shortly after 2.35pm today, Sunday 16 June, by the East of England Ambulance Service following reports that a body of a man had been discovered inside a property in Normanston Drive.

A police cordon is currently place whilst an investigation gets underway into the circumstances of what has taken place.

Witnesses or anybody who has any information that could assist should call Suffolk police on 101 quoting CAD 227 of today, 16 June.
