Man charged with assault in Felixstowe

Police have charged a man in connection with an incident of criminal damage and assault of two police officers in Felixstowe.

Officers attended a property on Langley Close yesterday late morning (Wednesday 15 January) on an unrelated matter. Whilst on scene police have been informed a man damaged various items of property including doors and lights within a flat.

A male was arrested at the scene and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

21 year old Zac Boreham of Langley Close in Felixstowe was charged with criminal damage to the value of £1000 belonging to Sanctuary Housing, two counts of assault of police officers, one charge under the Public Order Act and one count of threatening behaviour to cause criminal damage.

He was released on bail to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday 17 March at 1.30pm.
