Ipswich burglaries appeal - Ashley Street

Police are appealing for witnesses to two burglaries that took place in Ipswich.

They both took place in adjacent properties on Ashley Street. In the first incident that took place between 10pm and 7am overnight between 9 October and 10 October, entry was via a rear door with a set of keys and a black and white snake skin-effect purse containing cash and miscellaneous cards stolen. Crime number: 37/61759/19

The second took place at some point between 10pm and 6am the same night with entry via a rear bathroom window.  Cigarettes, a large amount of cash, a Canary smart CCTV system and a blue leather purse containing miscellaneous cards were stolen. Crime number: 37/61457/19. Both incidents are being linked.

Police are also issuing a reminder to local residents to ensure doors and windows are kept locked and secured.
