Ipswich – Appeal after man sustains stab injury

Police are appealing for witnesses or information after a man sustained a stab injury in Ipswich.

Officers were called by the ambulance service at just after 11:05pm yesterday Tuesday 14 May to reports that a 30-year-man had been stabbed on Nacton Crescent.

It is reported that the victim was walking towards home when he was attacked from behind and sustained a stab injury to his arm. He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

A scene remains in place on Nacton Crescent whilst enquires continue.

Early enquires lead detectives to believe that this was a targeted attack and are appealing for any witnesses or anybody with any information to contact Ipswich CID on 101 quoting reference 27233/19. Alternatively contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
